Distribution Resource Planning & Logistics (DRP) forecasts future demandfor parts/products and -- based on current inventories, orders, andrework -- determines the quantities that must be ordered and theallocation of inventory across the distribution network. The system'sresponsiveness to changes in demand and stock keeps inventory levels to aminimum and optimizes the allocation of inventory dollars whilemaintaining strong customer service levels.DRP consists of four major modules: Time-Phased Planning, Order Review,Multi-site Warehouse Distribution, and Management Reporting.DRP has extensive modeling capabilities and a strong return/repairforecasting process. Largely parameter-driven, DRP is adaptable tospecific customer requirements. Consulting, training, and systemcustomization are available.
